By installing or using the Teams Chat Backup Chrome extension (“the extension”), you agree to these terms. The extension is provided by Bullfighter Studio.
License and usage
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the extension in accordance with these terms.
- You may not modify, distribute, sell or lease the software.
- You may not decompile or attempt to extract the source code.
- You may not use the software for any illegal purpose.
Permitted and prohibited use
Permitted: personal backup and archival of your own Teams conversations, personal record-keeping and reference, and data retention needs approved by your organization.
Prohibited:
- Accessing or backing up conversations you do not have legitimate access to.
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations.
- Circumventing your organization’s data retention or security policies.
- Sharing, distributing or selling backed-up conversations that contain confidential information.
- Using the extension in any way that violates Microsoft’s Terms of Service.
Data ownership and responsibility
- All backup files created by the extension are your property and are stored locally on your device.
- We do not store, access or keep copies of your backed-up Teams conversations.
- You are responsible for managing, securing and keeping your backup files, and for verifying backup integrity for critical data.
- You are responsible for making sure your use complies with Microsoft’s terms and your organization’s policies.
Pro license
- Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks Pro features on the Chrome profile where it is verified. After a successful verification, Pro works offline with no recurring checks.
- A new device or reinstall needs a one-time Restore Purchase, using Chrome sync or your original License ID.
- We may revoke licenses for violations of these terms or for chargebacks filed without contacting us first.
Support period and compatibility
- We provide official support, updates and maintenance for Teams Chat Backup until December 31, 2026, including bug fixes, security updates and compatibility updates for Microsoft Teams interface changes. If the extension will be discontinued, users will be notified at least 90 days in advance.
- Microsoft may change Teams at any time, which could temporarily or permanently affect the extension. We will make reasonable efforts to address compatibility issues but cannot guarantee immediate fixes.
- Teams Chat Backup is not affiliated with, endorsed by or supported by Microsoft Corporation.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The software is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that it will meet your requirements or be error-free. Bullfighter Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the software.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated terms.
